Spotlight: Bucks Preview Center

Build the future: it’s the slogan of the Milwaukee Bucks Arena redesign. It’s also a directive we took seriously when tasked with creating and printing graphics, signage and decor for the new Milwaukee Arena Preview Center.

Touted by Milwaukee Bucks president Peter Feigin as one of their “most ambitious ventures to date,” (Milwaukee Business Journal) the Milwaukee Arena Preview Center overlooks the adjacent arena construction site and serves as hub to host prospective premium season ticket and suite sales prospects.

Our team completed several graphics projects for the Milwaukee Arena Preview Center, including:

  • A 60’ long curved wall print featuring images of the new arena which greets visitors upon arrival to the facility.
  • A timeline wall graphic running the length of the space which incorporates stories and images of the Bucks’ rich history
  • A 3D model table layout that connects to an augmented reality app, allowing visitors to see the proposed development come alive in VR.
  • Gloss CNC-cut Bucks antlers wall graphics to accent the matte painted walls of several “demo” suites constructed which demonstrate the suite experience to visitors.
  • Graphics for several HD projectors that simulate arena views from actual available suites.
  • Dimensional lettering to compliment several walls within the facility.
  • Custom-printed gallery canvas prints that adorn multiple walls.
  • Double-sided glass door graphics imposed for each conference room.
  • A large vibrant rendering, printed and installed by the West Allis Blue team, that stands behind new arena seats for visitors to sit down and test.
  • Custom bottle labels for specially brewed “12 Point Pilsners” that are opened to celebrate each new suite sale.

As a Milwaukee print graphics company, we couldn’t be more proud to have helped the Milwaukee Bucks “build the future” through our work for the Milwaukee Arena Preview Center. Check out the video below for a glimpse into the graphic & print work we did, and to preview this beautiful new space.

Spotlight: The Packing House

We recently completed a window graphics project at the new entryway for The Packing House Restaurant on Layton Avenue in Milwaukee, designing vinyl graphics and installing them on site. We were truly honored to meet the team there and be able to contribute in a small way to a Milwaukee institution. Not only is the Packing House team wonderful to work with, they serve amazing food and can boast one of the coolest vaulted ceiling cocktail lounges in the city.  We hope you’ll stop in to try some of their food and check out the work we did.

Spotlight: Badger Liquor

We had the opportunity to complete some fabulous environmental graphics projects for Badger Liquor, a Wisconson-based wine and spirits distributor that’s family-owned and operated.

We had a lot of fun working with the Badger Liquor team to make these projects come to life! Projects included custom printed textured wall coverings, frosted and colored vinyl installed on glass, and printed conformable vinyl installed on drywall. Like every project we do, we are extremely pleased with how it all turned out!

Spotlight: MCFI

The Milwaukee Center for Independence (MCFI) offers critical services to our great community for children and adults with special needs. Their mission? Assist individuals and families with special needs to better live and work in the community. West Allis Blue was consulted to help with branded environment elements for a facility remodel for the MCFI Childer’s Center.

Graphics Project at UW-Madison

If you’ve ever stepped foot on the University of Wisconsin campus in Madison, then you know that it’s a pretty special place. From the sprawling Bascom Hill to the iconic Monona terrace, the campus is decorated with a plethora of both natural and architectural elements designed to educate, inspire and proliferate one thing: “The Wisconsin Idea”.

Silver, sleek and modern, the 1848 Building is one such example. Situated on old University Avenue, the four-story building has served as the home base of the UW Foundation since September 26, 1994. Recently, the Kenton Peters-designed building underwent a major remodel. Our team at West Allis Blue was on hand to help produce and install art and images that represented “The Wisconsin Idea” on each of the building’s four floors.

The entire project was completed in four phases by our very own in-house installers. Given the size and scope of this project, having our own in-house install team proved invaluable as it allowed us the flexibility to work around the schedules of construction and furniture installation teams who were also participating in the remodel. For example, once the glass was installed, up went a graphic. And a day before furniture was placed, our printed wall covering was already firmly on the wall! We credit our in-house install team for keeping us on track and on schedule for this project.

As part of our service, we had a full consultation with the client before the project began and recommend styles and materials for maximum results with responsible costs. West Allis Blue custom-cut frosted film to cover over 50 windows and glass panes. All told, the project included wayfinding signage, vinyl glass screening, dimensional lettering, digitally printed wall coverings, acrylic graphic panels, and CNC-cut vinyl applied to drywall.

Below, check out a few of snaps the team took of the finished projects. Call us today or visit our website for a free quote on your upcoming environmental branding project.
